Cosmological dynamics of relativistic MOND

چکیده

In this paper, we investigate the recently proposed relativistic theory for MOND using phase space analysis. Unlike its precedent theory, namely TeVeS, is claimed to agree with observed Cosmic Microwave Background and matter power spectra. We convert background cosmological equations of a set first-order autonomous equations. Then explore corresponding critical points their physical meaning. This method powerful in sense that behavior model diagnosed independently magnitude free parameters theory. show has viable sequence epochs. Although specific initial conditions, mimics standard model; it provides richer structure as far cosmology concerned. implies further investigations are required see if contributes addressing current tensions.

Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND): Observational Phenomenology and Relativistic Extensions

A wealth of astronomical data indicate the presence of mass discrepancies in the Universe. The motions observed in a variety of classes of extragalactic systems exceed what can be explained by the mass visible in stars and gas. Either (i) there is a vast amount of unseen mass in some novel form - dark matter - or (ii) the data indicate a breakdown of our understanding of dynamics on the relevan...

Squeezing MOND into a Cosmological Scenario.

Explaining the effects of dark matter using modified gravitational dynamics (MOND) has for decades been both an intriguing and controversial possibility. By insisting that the gravitational interaction that accounts for the Newtonian force also drives cosmic expansion, one may kinematically identify which cosmologies are compatible with MOND, without explicit reference to the underlying theory ...

Testing Bekenstein’s Relativistic MOND with Gravitational Lensing

With the recent elevation of Milgrom’s MOdified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) to a relativistic theory, the Tensor-Vector-Scalar (TeVeS) theory of Bekenstein, a theory of gravity now exists which does not require dark matter and is consistent with fundamental relativistic principles. However, it remains challenging numerically and analytically to tackle the non-linear equations of TeVeS, which make...

A Primer to Relativistic Mond Theory

We first review the nonrelativistic lagrangian theory as a framework for the MOND equation. Obstructions to a relativistic version of it are discussed leading up to TeVeS, a relativistic tensor-vectorscalar field theory which displays both MOND and Newtonian limits. The whys for its particular structure are discussed and its achievements so far are summarized.

Testing Bekenstein’s Relativistic MOND with Lensing Data

We propose to use multiple-imaged gravitational lenses to set limits on gravity theories without dark matter, specificly TeVeS (Bekenstein 2004), a theory which is consistent with fundamental relativistic principles and the phenomenology of MOdified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) theory. After setting the framework for lensing and cosmology, we derive analytically the deflection angle for the point ...
